Climate Change

Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of  weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. It may be a change in average weather conditions, or in the distribution of weather around the average conditions ( more or fewer extreme weather events). Climate change is caused by factors such as biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, platetectonics, and volcanic eruptions. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred to as global warming.
The most general definition of climate change is a change in the statistical properties of the climate system when considered over long periods of time, regardless of cause. Accordingly, fluctuations over periods shorter than a few decades, such as El Nino, do not represent climate change.

Without the unity in global politics world doesn't stand the chance against climate change. Hopefully, world leaders will realize this before it's too late. Though as some say world could already be too late to do something about it.

Christmas Season

CHRISTMAS is the most awaited season for Filipinos. Many of Filipinos look forward to non- working holidays family reunions and gift-giving. But Filipinos’ ways on celebrating Christmas is sometimes funny. Christmas is celebrated during December but Filipinos celebrate this way too long.
As early as September, houses are already painted with Christmas décors and sometimes families would not remove it until March. It is somehow a bit unusual that Christmas decors are present during  Halloween-trick-or-treats.
That’s a Filipino way of saying “hello ber-months it’s Christmas time!”

Love is also tagged during this season. Some Filipinos would race to have a  lelifeovduring Christmas. Some would do everything to have a special someone in their lives. One reason for this is for them to receive a  gift for Christmas or not to be a part of the “Samahan ng Malalamig ang Pasko” (SMP).

Filipinos are celebrating Christmas with a big smile. We do not frown on Christmas season. We smile amidst all problems and trials.

Going Global For English Language

As global communication expands throughout the world, so does the need for a global language. A language that is recognized and understood by people everywhere.
"A global economic and political structure needs a common tongue." Everyone has their own reasons for the rise of English as the global language. However, there are some common traits between them. Here are just a few samples of what people are saying: "Experts attribute the worldwide spread of English to British colonialism and American culture, rather than to the inherent qualities of the language...English is dominating the globe today because, when the sun finally set on the British Empire at the end of World War II, the United States emerged as a global superpower and cultural giant, leading the way in medical research, technological innovation. Most people agree that it has something to do with the emergence of the United States as a world superpower. The US has worked hard to reach the level of achievement and cultural clout that it has today, but in no way wishes to wipe out all other world cultures. The important thing to remember is: "A language becomes an international language for one chief reason: the political power of its people - especially their military power.
It is widely believed that "English is truly the world language."  English seems to be emerging, if it has not already arrived, as a global language. If this were to become official it would reduce the number of mis-translations. It would make communication across cultures much easier. Language may be a cornerstone of culture, but the culture itself would not have to disappear if English were used as a second or third language for the pure purpose of communicating globally.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity

The theme for International Women's Day this year: "Equal rights, equal opportunities: Progress for all" re-emphasizes that equal rights and opportunities lead to improved health outcomes for women and girls.
Discrimination towards women and girls, or what is known as gender-based discrimination, is one of the most pervasive human rights violations. It severely limits the ability of women, girls and the communities they live in to protect and promote their health.
Genuine equality between women and men, girls and boys can only be realized in the process of a just, fair and humane transformation of our society as a whole. There's need for us to unite and enable women to take their rightful place in production and political activity to improve their economic and political status. There is need to educate ourselves and others to take a more correct view of women and to actively redress the injustices done to women in all our institutions - the Church, state and family.
True empowering of women enables them to participate in decision-making processes in society. One effective strategy towards empowering women is to promote equal opportunity for women's representation in decision-making positions.

My Little Reflection

There's a lot of learnings and discoveries I had learned in this subject, ICT. The lessons and topics I gained this grading period are: The Basic HTML File, Mypage HTM Explained, Introducton of HTML, Mark-Up Tags, HTML Document Example and mostly, to make an essay and post it on the blogger.
Practices for any activities like Jingles are the problems/challenges I encountered in this subject. That I can't cope up with the lessons learned with my classmates. But I don't loses hope. I tried to copy the notes fro my classmates and studied them by my own self. Because rally, Periodical Test is coming. And to have a notes to review.
So, I'll be vry active in studying in this subject. So that my grade will become higher than before. It hurts me so much when I saw my grade in ICT --- really hurts!

My Teacher, My Hero

"Teachers are truly the reason why other professions exist!"
In life, people may come and go, some will be remembered and some are forgotten. But one thing is for sure, I'll never forget the person who is known as my second parent. The one who did efforts for me to gain knowledge, the one who has been my guide for so many years. The one who scolds and corrects me when I am doing wrong. The one who has been there as I face the stepping stones in my life. The one who appreciates my efforts, the one who is always there to feed me a bit-full of information that I might use someday. The one who saves me from this unfair life where everyone should be feed with the same knowledge. The person who sacrifices for our own good, and yet, the laziness that I've shown them, the tiredness that they have seen from me.
After all, they never give up and they never stop to fill us with knowledge and when we are going to fall, they are always there to reach our hand and pull us back and so, the years might have been overthrown, and everything will fade, but they are always be my hero for life and for all of that efforts and sacrifices hat they've done for us. How life be without our teachers?

Unravel the Causes. Build the Solution. Empower the Science Clubbers to Action

The Department of Education, the governing body responsible for regulating and managing the Philippine system of basic education have already released.
We are living in the inevitable world of knowledge, principles and information. The things that we hold, see, touch, smell, hear and taste are our basic way of perceiving things. The gadgets which complete the seconds of our life. The environment and phenomena that lingers our life and the persons around us touching our hearts. So lets be environment friendly. Apply the three R's (Re-use, Reduce and Recycle) in our daily life.

With this, let's love and support SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY in cooperation with the Mother Science Club in promoting the National Celebration of Science and Technology Month 2013 this September with the central theme “Unravel the Causes. Build the Solutions. Empower the Science Clubbers to Action”.

The Unsung Hero in my Life

She's The One! :)
Anyone of us has their own different desires and admiration, different likes, different heroes and many more. I admit, I have so many heroes I like the most. But in the modern life, I came to realize that my older cousin is my favorite one. Yes she is! She is the girl with a great personality. Straight long hair, sizzling eyes, curvy body, kind-hearted and intelligent.
I can say that she's really my unsung hero because she is very kind to me. I'm staying at their house since I am in First Year high School. She is the one who's helping me whenever I have problems, assignments, and projects that is not yet finished. She serves as my big sister. Because in my family, I'm the only girl among the three thorns. And when she receives her salary, she's always inviting me to hang-out with her, and buying me dresses and shoes. I'm admiring her because of her good doings to me that no one can change it. She's effortless but for me, it's more than enough!
So, I'll be very good to her. I'll show her what does deserving means. I salute her! And I'm very thankful to have her in my life. She's one of the girls I really love the most! :)

Kaya ano pang ginagawa niyo? Tara!

President Aquino's State of the Nation Address 2013

President Aquino wrapped us his speech by addressing those who still doubt Tuwid na Daan. "My boses, let us remember: where did we begin? If you have doubts now, compare them to the doubts we all carried in 2010." He also thanked the public for their role in making change possible through different ways. This is your SONA," he says.
I am proud of the accomplishments of our dear President since he governed our country. I am more proud that he is fighting and naming corrupt agencies and those that are not doing their jobs. For me the one he should be working on first are the leaders. If he has trustworthy cabinet members and officials, the result for each agency will be better because everything starts with the leader.
Pinpointing the wrong is also a good strategy so that the officials can correct whatever they are doing. Let’s face the fact that we only act when our attention is called.
Great job to the president and I am looking forward to see the fulfillment of his plans.

Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama Sama Nating Wakasan

Every year in the month of july, the whole nation is celebrating this kind of activity. Proposely to dissciminate nutrition message to all Filipinos through a focal theme. Nutrition is also called nourishment or aliment, is the provision, to cells and organisms of the materials necesary (in the form of food) to support life. Many common health problems can be prevented or alleviated with a healthy diet.

The nutrtion month theme for 2013 is "Gutom at Malnutrisyon, Sama Sama Nating Wakasan." This is to raise the awareness on the need for more action in addressing hunger as part of the Philippine's commitment to the United Nations Millenium Development Goal 1: "Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. The objectives of this year's celebration are as follows: to increase awareness on hunger issues and actions to mitigate hunger and malnutrition; encourage stakeholders to contribute in addressing hunger issues; and advocate for stonger political action to end hunger.

So to support this developmental endeavor of the nutrition community, avoid eating junkfoods specially to the young children. Maybe this is the reason why we are suffering illness and diseases. Lets eat nutritious foods! Eat fruits and vegetables. Have a proper exercise daily. And have a healthy diet!
